Alan Sullivan
CEO and Founder
Alan has over 20 years of product development experience in the areas of the Internet and network-based products at Xerox, DEC, Apollo Computer, Mennen Medical, NeuLevel Inc., and the .US Registry. Alan has held CEO, CTO, and VP positions at NetNames, Votiv Systems, NameEngine, and the .US Registry. Alan was CEO of Votiv Systems, which he founded in 1997, and the CTO at NameEngine. Alan led the effort to develop the concepts and technology that eventually led to the RegisterFREE.com website and discount domain name registration services. Alan founded and was President of Top Domain Registry Inc. Alan received a BS in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester and a MS in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Massachusetts.
Mark Lewyn
President and Founder
Mark co-founded Paxfire in 2003 and has been in and around the technology world for more than 20 years. He started his career as a technology reporter, first for the Money Section of USA Today and later for Businessweek Magazine. In the mid-1990s, Mark joined the founding management team of CitySearch.com, which was merged with TicketMaster and is now a part of Barry Diller's Interactive Corp. At TicketMaster - CitySearch, Mark served in a variety of business development, marketing and content roles. Mark then went on to co-found an e-government software company, EzGov, which is now part of ChoicePoint. Later, Mark also served as a vice president of Vector Development, a venture capital firm backed by Warburg Pincus and AEA Investors. Mark graduated in 1982 from Northwestern University with a degree in journalism.
Doug Armentrout
Chief Operating Officer
Doug Armentrout has extensive operations, marketing and technical experience with several successful companies. He has held senior level positions at several Internet companies, including Verio, TABNet, and Network Solutions. Doug previously served as a Special Forces Officer with the U.S. Army and holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Carson-Newman College.
Mike Sullivan
Vice President, Engineering
Mike Sullivan is an expert in Internet technologies, DNS, and network architecture. Mike has held senior engineering positions at Nominum, VeriSign, Cable & Wireless, and AT&T. Mike earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Masters in Information Systems from George Washington University.
Tom Newell
Vice President, Product Management
Tom Newell has a broad executive background leading product development initiatives for technology companies, operations and infrastructure planning, and coordinating enterprise IT efforts related to corporate messaging, data warehousing, and ERP efforts. He has held executive and senior level positions with a variety of organizations and companies, including The University of Texas, the InterNIC, Network Solutions, SAIC, VeriSign, and Nominum. Tom previously served as a Military Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Army and has degrees from the University of California and The University of Texas. He is a past board member of the Multilingual Internet Names Consortium where he helped lead early Internationalized Domain Name efforts. Tom volunteers as a ski instructor and board member for the Telluride Adaptive Ski Program leading veterans outreach projects.
Vivian Boswell
Vice President, Global Partners
Vivian Boswell has led strategic planning and delivery of enterprise technology programs in senior management positions for Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, MCI and Citicorp. Vivian's leadership roles spanned network management and applications development to marketing and product development, to deliver voice, data, and wireless products and services. She has extensive global partner experience, including M&A strategic planning, joint capabilities integration development and portfolio management. Vivian received her MBA from Hood College and a B.S. Summa Cum Laude from James Madison University. She is a past board member of Goodwill Industries and the Easter Seals Society.
