Title: DB Architect/Administrator
Responsibilities:
 |
Provides direction and implementation assistance to the application development teams in database technologies and disciplines
|
|
 |
Assists in the development database triggers and stored procedures, tuning queries, database design and structure for log processing and transactional systems
|
|
 |
Supports application development lifecycle as relates to database activities including design reviews, code reviews, schema creation, code migration and change management.
|
|
 |
Assists in the development of SQL scripts for automated deployment of database objects
|
|
 |
Manages and optimize development and test databases
|
|
 |
Maintains enterprise data models and data dictionaries of integrated production systems
|
|
 |
Completes database activities on-schedule and per quality expectations
|
|
 |
Provide production DBA support - maintaining, upgrading, backing up, ...
|
|
 |
Establishes database standards, and procedures that will optimize database architectures, reliability, and performance for all corporate applications environments and quality assurance policies and procedures

Requirements:
 |
Minimum Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field - Masters preferred
|
|
 |
8-10 years, in diverse database environments
|
|
 |
Hands-on experience with MySQL and Postgres - Microsoft SQL/Access and Oracle a plus
|
|
 |
5+ years of perl/shell scripting
|
|
 |
Experience in performance analysis and tuning for enterprise applications
|
|
 |
Experience in data archival strategies for enterprise systems
|
|
 |
Strong understanding of basic data modeling principles
|
|
 |
DBA experience in a linux environment
|
|
 |
Experienced with software engineering lifecycle methodologies including configuration management and environment management

 |
Experience coordinating information requirements of multiple departments, including assessment of usefulness, reliability and cleanliness of data from several sources.

Description
Mid-level engineering position to support the acquisition and post-sales support of customers. Provide customer site installation support and technical support after the sale.
